Passage

Hours 17:15 we pass the border walking. Congo! The world changes after the barrier, on the slippery planks of the bridge that divides Rwanda from Congo we leave the Swiss of Africa, to plunge into the muddy heart of the country. The air changes, colors change. Belgian architecture and a darkly, electric atmosphere, welcomes us into the town of Bukavu. Massimo is surprised of how the roofs of houses, huge, ghostly, seem constructed to support meters of snow. The team met yesterday in Kigali: Massimo Delledonne professor of genetics at Verona University will run, with Anita Rodriguez Prieto, genetist by the Muse (Museum of Sciences of Trento), the mobile sequencing system that will be set up at the mountain foothills, by the lake shore, while Marina Moreno researcher at the Muse, will focus on of small mammals investigations. Tomorrow we will meet the three Congolese researchers, Gullain, Emmanuel and Arcel and the Kabobo expedition and team will be complete.

See you in Kalemie!
